The first cast
Cast for a Cause began as a local tournament. This inaugural event is the starting point for a wider community of anglers, hosts and partners.
A full day of fishing and community in support of After the Action Healing Foundation. Veterans, families, friends and supporters are welcome.
Registration closes October 2. Parking: 4820 River Street, Columbiaville, MI 48421. Refund requests close September 30. Registration is completed on the Foundation’s event page.

Local hosts can propose a format suited to their community. These are concepts for future events; only the Michigan tournament is scheduled today.
Anglers compete under published local rules with verified results and an event-day gathering.

The reason we cast
Cast for a Cause is an event initiative of After the Action Healing Foundation. Each gathering offers a way to support the Foundation’s work while building connection around the water.
After the Action works to expand access to free, trauma-informed clinical hypnotherapy for eligible military veterans. The events bring anglers, families, businesses and community partners into that mission.

No. The event welcomes veterans, families, friends, businesses and other community supporters.
Participation supports After the Action Healing Foundation’s mission and its programs for military veterans. The fee also includes event admission, tournament participation and a meal/drink voucher.
Refund requests for the Michigan event must be made by September 30, 2026. The original event page has the current registration details.
